About

I completed my master studies in sociology and social research at the University of Bremen in 2010, which included my studies of applied social research at Monash University, Melbourne (Australia). Subsequently, I started my Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock. In the department ‘Economic and Social Demography’ I worked as a research assistant within a project on the east west divide of demographic behaviour in Germany. In 2014 I defended my doctoral thesis on the life courses of single mothers in Germany at the University of Rostock. In my current project at the Institute Labour and Economy at the University of Bremen, I investigate the motives, strategies and trajectories of labour participation of German students.
