Bulgarian Youth Forum (bulgarianyf.eu) participated as a representative of the Institute for the Study of Societies and Knowledge in conference dedicated to the social rights of people in times of crisis organised by European Youth Forum and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.

During the forum organised in Sofia on 17-18 October, topics related to changes in the labour market and their effects on young people were discussed. On the first day of lectures delivered lecturers in economics, trade union representatives and advisers of MEPs. There were workshops related to the economic transformations in Europe, where participants offered opportunities for greater social protection of young people – participants in the labour market. On the second day the speakers and participants analysed the opportunities for integration and social inclusion of refugees and their access to services such as education and health.

The conference was very timely and discussion between young people from different NGOs with MEPs and representatives of various European institutions was an important contribution to the active citizenship of young people.
